Hi, I'm Karen and I'm the Head of Business at ASPACE.  I’d love you to join our Business team as one of our Specialists. We're looking for someone who is familiar with what happens after recruitment - the contracts, the promotions, the continuous improvement, among other things.

You're organized and can maintain all this information physically and digitally within our toolkits. You know your way around team compliance (DOLE regulations and government-mandated benefits, for example). You'll need a few years of experience in this field to qualify, and you will be working with a team who wants to get things done.

This is a full-time position within Manila with flexible hours, if you're able to manage your time well.

Hello! I’m Vic, and I’m the Technology Director here at ASPACE. I’m looking for an amazing web Wizard (or two) who can do awesome tricks and magic on our websites and other deep-Dev sorcery! You’ll be working with the award-winning pioneer of creative hubs in the Philippines, and an awesome crew of creative minds, hard-workers, and passionate supporters of local entrepreneurs.

I don't need just a delegator and budget-spender. You'll need to be creative, and resourceful to impress me, and you'll need to be able to demonstrate leadership by doing, not just delegating.

How we calculate your remuneration.
PLAY THE GAME, LEVEL UP FOR GOLD

Assume you love us and we love you, then the question is how much effort will it take for you to hit "ASPACE excellence". Not the potential to be awesome, but the actual awesomeness that comes from holding down your responsibility and creating value for those around. The more we have to coach Excellence, the more support you need, the more junior your starting level with us (but just think of all those brain cells just being pumped with know-how!). You remuneration and privileges are linked to your current level and growth. Makes sense, right?

PAST IS PAST

You may be awesome with an impressive resume, 12 degrees and 5 MBAs from the top global schools. Even though we respect that achievement, what you are committing to master with us is way more important. Expecting your past experience and education to automatically earn you a premium? Think again – you'll need our coaching time and energy. You'll be expected to demonstrate your value to us; rewards are for future performance, not your past achievements (exception to this is when past achievements are highly relevant - see "Be a Guru"). 

KNOW YOUR MARKET RATE

There's no magic salary calculator that all bosses use to determine what to pay. We look at what Google is saying, we consider what we pay others in similar positions, and we'll of course look at how much we can actually afford. Your market rate is something you can research, and while it's an important number, you'll need to consider your "discount" or your "premium" against that rate. You'll also need to understand that ASPACE isn't all other companies, we are special, just like you.

IT AIN'T ALL ABOUT THE CASH

More important than money is what you do with it. Say we give you a bazillion pesos but take away your free time and health? Bad deal. So let's look at the working hours that make you happy and healthy, consider your gadgets, HMO, the workplace culture, and the opportunities to learn, to coach, and to create value. We want you to #GOHOMEHAPPY, and that requires an individual conversation and a custom designed package for you, at your current stage of life. One size does not fit all. 

BE A GURU OR BE RARE for a premium

If you are applying for a position that you have proven, demonstrable experience in; maybe you are a guru, dude — then you can expect a premium over the market rate for a similar position. Why? Because you've earned it elsewhere, there is far less risk involved in bringing you in, and you'll require a lot less coaching to hit our levels of excellence. 

Similarly, you earn a premium by being a rare talent in a competitive market. If you are a niche language developer you'll be rare; if you are an interior designer with a year of work experience, join the long line.

We are the best

We can't put a price on you as a human being, so we don't try. Our way of evaluating what you are worth only goes so far as to figure out your value to our projects, people, and plans.

Your value to the planet + universe is immeasurable.

We also aren't the in investment banking industry, a massive corporation with petro-chemical, tobacco, arms dealing interests. So if you are only interested in the highest salary regardless of values and culture, you'll find a better fit elsewhere.
